Christian is the Founder and Owner of Living Financial at Raymond James Ltd.
As an independent Financial Advisor, Christian specializes in retirement income planning as well as tax-efficient strategies for small business owners. Christian services areas such as Quinte West, Belleville, Prince Edward Country. He also has clients in other parts of Ontario including Bancroft, Oshawa, Napanee, and Kingston.
Originally from Germany, he grew up in a family with a strong work ethic. Expected to take over the family business, Christian studied architecture and business administration to prepare himself.
However, his true calling within the financial industry came when his grandmother became very ill and she had no financial plan in place. It was Christian’s parents who had to help cover costs during this time. After that profound event, Christian decided to pursue a career in finance with the hopes of helping others realize the importance of proper financial planning.
When Christian is not preparing financial plans for clients, he can be heard delivering educational talks such as his “History of the Berlin Wall” and most recently “Kate’s Journey to Better Health” (an informative story on how his eldest daughter, now 29, overcame her rheumatoid arthritis and the struggles she dealt with to get there).
He is actively involved with the Kiwanis Club of Trenton as a Past-President and Past-Secretary. Additionally, he serves as Past-President on the board of the Quinte West Inter-Service Club and serves an active member of the local Quinte West Chamber of Commerce. Last but not least he is the coach for learn-to-row and is the current President of the Trenton Rowing & Paddling Club.
Some of the other small pleasures in life Christian enjoys are: cooking healthy plant-based meals, fitness training, running, rowing, water sports including stand-up paddle-boarding and ballroom-dancing – once COVID is over.
